Apple appears to continue striving to improve the safety of its mobile operating system. The truth is that the iPhone, iPhone and iPod are among the safest we can get our hands on, but there is always some loophole that malicious entities can be used to extract information.
We would all agree that we increasingly sensitive and valuable information in our smartpthones. Since personal data to credit card numbers or PayPal accounts. Well, it's reassuring to know that Apple is continually making efforts to add layers of security to IOS, the operating system that manages everything.
In this context, Apple has seen a couple of days two new patents that discuss the algorithms that could lead all IOS devices. The first one is called "Methods for the restriction of resources, using software based on rights."
Specifically, the first patent defense system talking about viruses, worms, malware and other malicious software. Conceptually, the idea is to control all resources accessed by an application, and to avoid start up if you suspect you want to use something that is not allowed. This will avoid contaminating the rest of the system.
The second patent is called "Systems and methods to initiate defenses against manipulation", and describes how to lift protections against cable systems connected to the device. The idea is that the firmware on working IOS verify that the boot code remains intact, so that lines do not run suspicious.
We hope to see all these changes and improvements in IOS 6 , which presumably will come in October.
