The trial between Samsung and Apple continues to generate news. As we saw, Samsung accused of copying Apple's iPhone design Sony , so to defend this claim Apple has shown the first prototype was made of the iPhone, called "Purple", back in 2005.
If the dates are correct, "Purple" is prior to the design that Samsung said that Apple had copied from Sony, known as "Jony". Samsung's indictment based largely on the possibility that Apple was inspired by the Sony prototype for the design of your iPhone, to show that normal is inspired by designs from others, but this new material by land strip that argument.
According to Apple lawyer working in the case of Samsung, the prototype "Jony" was just "a nice side project" that did not influence the final design of the original iPhone. In essence, "Purple" came first and was the base of the iPhone, while "Jony" was just an experimental deviation during the development of Apple. As you can see, "Purple" also resembles the iPhone 4.
In light of this evidence, the trial judge has banned Apple from Samsung uses the prototype "Jony" as evidence against Apple.
Apple is a company that consistently performs design prototypes of different products, it is normal catch some concepts borrowed from the competition. Fortunately for Apple, finished products are what count.
