Apple has set the option to buy Twitter this year

Apple has plenty of cash that can be used for almost anything. And it is common knowledge that the company has not had much success with social networking. His last resounding failure: iTunes Ping, which was never arouse the interest of users.

As reported by several U.S. media, the Cupertino company was holding talks with leaders of Twitter until recently. Apple was considering investing about 10,000 million dollars in acquiring the social network and since Twitter does not rule out the idea. In fact, more than one interview, Twitter CEO, Dick Costolo, said that "Apple is a good partner," referring to the times when you had to work together.

It is unknown why the two companies left the talks aside, but now it seems that Apple no longer have a choice to acquire Twitter.
