A few weeks ago we saw one of the original prototype iPhone . The photographs came from back in 2000, and looked a rudimentary tablet for what we have today. The truth is that this kind of news, where we delve into the history of the devices, we love it.
Specifically, today we bring a few more pictures of prototypes and early models of iPhone and iPad . Of course, were eventually discarded in favor of the great devices we enjoy today in our hands. To start, we can see a large iPod with an odd groove on its surface.
We assume that it could be an ancestor of the iPad, and that slot could be used to highlight you will keep a stylus, an idea that was scrapped after the event by Steve Jobs himself. This grandfather of iPad 3 is a computer rendering of 2004, where John Ive and his team were already secretly working on the Apple tablet.
The iPhone prototype was given the codename N90. It was a primitive model of iPhone 4, and highlight a much more pronounced corners and a smaller screen. The truth is that this particular design we do not think much would have liked in the market.
Here are some other details. Look how much narrower and thinner than the current iPhone models. Does look like the iPhone 5 , on which all the rumors are saying that it will be much narrower than the current model?
What's more, in the following video you have for Tony Fadell, the father of the iPod, talking on the prototypes of the original iPhone. Recall that one of the tests they did include a physical keyboard, an element that was eventually discarded.
Do you like these prototypes? Do you think that would have been even more successful than the current models?
