1 in 5 applications access to our contacts without permission

privacidad 1 de cada 5 aplicaciones acceden a nuestros Contactos sin permiso

Apple promised a few months ago in IOS 6.0 change the policy on access to our private information by those applications normally access our Contacts, Calendars, Reminders and photos without permission. And in recent months there have been several scandals reported to Apple, which proved that the developers had access to all our contacts stored on your iPhone without permission.

The situation has changed in IOS 6.0: each time an application tries to access our personal information, the IOS device will warn us with a message of warning to accept it or reject it. Meanwhile, a study by the company BitDefender points out that in the App Store is still 18.6% of applications that keep our information from the contact list without asking the user directly.

In iPhone OS 5.0 still gives this problem and Apple seems unwilling to solve it until the next software update, although many consumer protection organizations in the United States have complained multiple times. Moreover, 41% of the 65,000 applications analyzed in this study located our position without being aware of them.

More- Apple is serious about our privacy in IOS 6.0
