Using an Android tablet after two years with iPad

The first that comes to mind when we hear the word tablet is the iPad from Apple. I think almost everyone agrees on that. In the market for the tablet, for now, the iPhone is still king.

In addition to design and build quality, the iPhone (and iPhone) is the king in its class due to the great support of application developers behind it. In the App Store have applications for practically anything that you imagine. And this is precisely the big problem with the Android tablet, or more specifically the Nexus 7 from Google.

Google has launched its first tablet and, frankly, has done a good job. This is a great team, both hardware and software level with the new Android version 4.1, which has nothing to envy to IOS. In addition, its small size makes for some tasks more convenient to control.

Missing native apps for Google Nexus 7 ...

The big problem comes when we took a few days with the tablet. Google has joined the Nexus 7 some applications as a native email client, a version of Google Maps much more complete than what we see on the iPhone and the Chrome browser with its own interface for tablet. But what happens when we go to the PlayStation Store and want to unburden some of the applications you normally use? Well, we find that there is virtually no application adapted to tablet Google.

Even the strongest and essential applications, such as might be the Facebook and Twitter, are adapted to the tablet, having to use application designed for mobile, high, 4 inches. This means that we see white space and reduces considerably the user experience of the tablet.

These problems are exacerbated if Google used the tablet horizontally. A shame, because the device has great potential as a hardware level is well served and the price is groundbreaking. Not surprisingly, as we saw, the Nexus 7 has been very successful at launch and there are no units.

We assume that if Nexus 7 continues to reap the bestselling developers will get the batteries quickly to adapt their applications, while the king of the tablet will remain the iPad.
