This application is free and gives passengers in economy class and first this new service. Perhaps most interesting is what this means for Apple. It appears that Qantas, the company that provides the service, will buy more than 5000 iPad for its fleet of aircraft.

Add to this the 2200 terminals that have already bought for its pilots and cabin crew, totaling more than 7000 Apple iPad by a single buyer. Furthermore, in a recent note, admits Qantas will scrap all BlackBerry you have, for a lot of iPhone for its staff.

The company director, Paul Jones, explains that the Apple smartphone offers a friendly interface and direct access to email, contacts and calendars. In addition, more than enough to meet the security requirements of your business. These are the reasons that led him to switch brands.

Back to QStreaming application, looks set to be a hit with passengers. Not only can leave their devices at home or in checked baggage, but will also have access to more than 200 hours of movies and totally free.

It would be nice if other airlines follow the trend, right?
