Tutorial: Upgrade your iPhone to iOS 5.0.1 without raising the baseband (Windows and Mac)

With this tutorial you can update your iPhone to iOS 5.0.1 without raising the baseband to use the SIM Gevey ultrasn0w.

Ultrasn0w today will be updated December 19, 2011 to be compatible with iOS 5.0.1, is a matter of hours.

Need:

IPhone is in a version earlier than 5.0.1 iOS

your baseband is compatible with Ultrasn0w or SIM Gevey

iOS 5 for your device

Redsn0w 0.9.9b9

Open Redsn0w and select Extras:

Now go to iTunes

Shift Click Restore (Restore if you use Alt MAC)

Select the firmware you have created

You'll recognize him because his name starts with NO_BB

iTunes will restore your iPhone with this firmware
