Today has gone untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 for all devices except the iPhone and the iPad 4S 2, if you want more information read this post.

Many of you are in IOS 5.0 and for some reason do not want to upgrade, you may seem a difficult process, which do not be the computer where all the info from your iPhone around because you are in the family home for Christmas, or simply want avoid the risk of a baseband update because you have to release it Gevey Ultrasn0w or SIM. For all of you there will be an untethered jailbreak IOS 5.0.

The Chronic DevTeam is working on it, also will not know whether as a package in Cydia or applied with Redsn0w, but you can rest assured, if you will not upgrade you will also have untethered jailbreak.
