Two months have passed since the release of iOS 5 and still no untetehred jailbreak. Pod2g has achieved, it is a type userland jailbreak and will be released soon.
As this video of an iPhone 4 with iOS untethered jailbreak 5.0.1 and realized that pod2g has posted on his blog also says the following:

The jailbreak is almost ready, the patches are the same as used Redsn0w, so stability is the same (good news) and will launch in a matter of days except for the iPhone and the iPad 4S 2.
