Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 finally available

Finally the day has come, the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 is now available through a new RedSn0w update.

That jailbreak which we have spoken so much and has taken several months to @ pod2g , finally given birth by the Dev-Team program, for now compatible with all devices without chips A5.

Exactly supported devices are:

  • iPhone 3G
  • iPhone 4
  • 4-CDMA iPhone
  • iPad 1
  • iPod Touch 3G
  • 4G iPod Touch

If you have any of these devices and want to make the jailbreak, update before Apple launches a new IOS and eliminate the possibility of up to 5.0.1.

Of course, if you need free software instead actualizéis directly, but by creating a custom firmware that does not raise the baseband.

If you have the tethered jailbreak on your device, you have two options:

  • Using this version of redsn0w, unselect "Install Cydia".
  • Installing the package released by the Dev Team Chonic Cydia.
