Italy condemns Apple to pay a fine of 900,000 euros

apple care Italia condena a Apple a pagar una multa de 900.000 euros

It has finally happened: Apple earns a fine of 900 000 euros in Italy by "bad business practices that harm consumers." In September we talked about a complaint by the Consumers' Association of Spain to Apple for misleading advertising. That's because Apple insists on making us think that the guarantee of our iPhone - or any other device, just a year has been sold. At that time, the company sends an email inviting us to buy Apple Care to extend the warranty for another year.

A disbursement is not necessary at all as consumer laws in Europe are stronger than in other territories like the United States. In the old continent, consumers are entitled to two-year warranty depending on the product purchased, so no need to pay for Apple Care services.

So, Apple asks Italy "to stop these deceptive practices" and imposes a fine that almost touches the one million euros. If Apple does not get the batteries could soon accumulate fines of more European countries, including Spain.
