If you have a WiFi iPad 2 is difficult, but you can downgrade to 4.3.3 as long as you have the SHSH saved. But if you have a 3G WiFi iPad 2 could not (so far). The reason is that Apple makes a check baseband (firmware antenna) with each restoration, and if you restore to the latest baseband not allow you to complete the restoration . The iPad 2 WiFi or iPhone can do because it has no SIM card or 3G antenna in the iPad 1 can do because we have a bootrom exploit level (Limera1n). In theory it's the same with the iPhone 4, but as for the iPhone 4 if we have a bootrom exploit is not required for this tool.
With TinyCFW can create a custom firmware 4.3.3 with latest baseband available, to 5.0.1 today, and you can restore with it provided you have the SHSH saved (very important). Once created, you must restore with iTunes.
Note: you need 2.5 GB of RAM (or more) to work.
TinyCFW not a jailbreak tool (you do then jailbreakme.com), nor release, does not protect your baseband but the rise. It is a tool for iPhone 1, iPhone 3G, 3G or 4S.
As TinyCFW update your baseband, if you lose your SIM Gevey Ultrasn0w or liberation.
Works on iPhone iPad 2 and 4 only, but do not recommend its use in iPhone 4 as much as 2 WiFi 3G iPhone.
You can download it for here:
We'll do a tutorial soon.
