Carrier IQ is also on your iPhone

Go stir is rolling on the network with the discovery of Carrier IQ in many mobile devices including terminals we can point to Android, Blackberry, Nokia (which they deny) and IOS.

For those who do not know, Carrier IQ is a tracker that stores personal information very sensitive user data, including locations, web pages consulted, your passwords, send messages, make calls ... anyone know anything about this until Trevor Eckart, a developer specializing in security, sounded the alarm and video taped the head of the terminal post with a HTC.

In iOS have also found traces of Carrier IQ but in this case, the software is not intrusive to the user, stores the terminal number, country, our telephone company and location data.

Unlike the case in Android, IOS is no simple way to avoid our tracking data we have mentioned. For starters, if we want to avoid sending our location data, we must go to Settings, Location and off.

To avoid sending other data we have to go to Settings, General, Information, Diagnosis and use. There have to select the option to not send diagnostic data automatically.

Note that sending user information is done through a secure SSL connection but that does not mean that our data are being shared without knowing it.
