During the presentation of new iPad last March, one of the things that went unnoticed was the reduction in the price of iPad 2 . Many thought the device would stop immediately sold because buyers would choose the third generation model.
Well, nothing is further from reality. According to the latest survey by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), the difference in sales between the iPad 2 and the new iPad between March and April 2012 has not changed. Ratio is maintained 40-60% and seems to not be decreasing with time, as might be expected.
In other words, the demand for second-generation iPhone is not much less than the new iPad. According to Apple, are selling at an incredible speed tablets. Leave the factories and are already sold, so there is little residual stock.
It appears that the iPhone price cut 2 was a brilliant move by Apple, and that many buyers want a tablet but are not willing to spend over 450 dollars or euros.
And here's the best. According to some rumors, is success in this price cut that Apple is making changes to appear on an iPad Mini, which presumably would cost even less. There is talk of 250-300 dollars or euros, to attack a market that is still untapped.
