Users are increasingly iPad TV

According to market research consultancy NPD Group, the number of devices like the iPhone has doubled in the last 12 months. From these data, have conducted a survey of users who have TV at home, with the following conclusions.

For starters, NPD Group found that a significant percentage of users, about 10%, used the iPad or other tablets for watching videos and TV shows. This represents an increase of 4% over last year.

Furthermore, the higher density of users who watch TV on your tablet is in China, where 35% of respondents answered affirmatively. Moreover, the fastest growing group is Turkey, which has risen from 3.1% to 16.5% in just one year.

Finally, another rather curious result that is inferred from this study is that 70% of respondents said they watch TV programs on devices that are not your TV. Is conventional TV dying?
