A new organization these days raises its voice against Apple and denounces the exploitation of thousands of employees working in factories contracted by the company in China. This organization based in New York, China Labor Watch has conducted an investigation that lasted four months and during this time have had the opportunity to interview 630 workers from 10 factories subcontracted by Apple in China.

The report acknowledges that it has complied in part, by promising to gradually increase the salary of factory workers, but claims that it is still quite low. On the other hand, as was revealed in other studies in the past, re-emphasize the fact that workers accumulate in individual cases over the 36 hours overtime allowed by Chinese law. In some cases, workers who do recognize up to 180 hours of overtime per month.

Finally, China Labor Watch notes that many of these employees do not have health insurance should be mandatory, especially taking into account the delicate conditions in developing their daily tasks.
