Things looked bad for the Apple store in the building Tio Pepe de la Puerta del Sol in Madrid, as we reported this week. Apple looked like it would temporarily halt negotiations to lease the block, but finally reached Friday confirmation from Apple headquarters in Cupertino: the more than 6,000 square meters at the disposal of the building, spread over seven floors, will shelter to a new facility of Apple and company offices.
This is the second Apple store in Madrid and the first street in one of the main attractions of the city. What remains unknown is the date that Apple plans to open this facility will be one of the largest in the world.
