One image shows the evolution of the tablet before and after the release of King of the tablet, the iPad .
Yesterday, a forero MacRumors posted a picture of the main tablet before and after the departure of the iPad. You could say that the picture speaks for itself. In the same way that the iPhone has revolutionized the smartphone market, Apple has managed to redefine the concept of tablet so boring.
In the post-iPad, a tablet was only a few inches corseted screen to a PC with Windows XP and a stylus that served as a pointer. Basically they were laptops without the keyboard: the battery was low (less than 2 hours), the inherited interface using the mouse and had all the disadvantages of a desktop operating system forced to live in a portable device. Its design was not appealing, were full of appendices, slots, reinforced edges and even frightening and ornate handles adorned their lines. The concept was there but nobody knew how to take advantage.
So Apple designers and laid hands on her magic and based on the experience of the iPhone managed to build what is now considered a tablet: the iPad. Then the forms were born clean and sober pleasant to touch, so direct and natural interaction as writing in a notebook and the immediacy of an interface designed to operate with ease.
HTC, Motorola, RIM, HP and many others made use of the concept only reinvented by Apple, and the result is the age where all tablet want to be like the iPad.
