Steve Jobs is no longer CEO, Apple

According to a BusinessWire cable , Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple.

CUPERTINO, Calif. .- (BUSINESS WIRE) -

To the board of Apple and Apple fans

I've always said that if the day came where I could not fulfill my responsibilities and expectations as CEO of Apple, I would be the first to admit it. Unfortunately, that day has come

He resigned as CEO of Apple. I like to serve, if the board agrees, as chairman, director and employee of Apple

Regarding my successor, I strongly recommend running our succession plan and appointed Tim Cook as CEO of Apple-

I'm sure the brilliant and innovative days are ahead of Apple. And I hope to see and contribute to their success in this new role.

I have made some of my best friends my whole life in Apple, and I appreciate the opportunity to work with him all these years.

Steve
