With RapidContact you can assign a gesture of Activator to display the window you see on these lines, with it you can quickly find a contact and call or write an SMS.
The sms are written from the same window comfortably.
If you do you usually always call the same people I recommend using an application such as placing Callme icons for each contact on your desktop.
