A few days ago appeared in Cydia LSBattery, a tweak that lets you put the percentage of battery in place when the screen lock, you can also put in place the word "unlock" the unlock slider. You can choose one option or another since the settings of your iPhone. Personally I think it is unnecessary to have the percentage in the status bar, but surely the "obsessed battery" will find it useful.
