Apple I enable the "Find My iPhone" (which should change the name to "Find My iDevice") on the beta site and also to locate iCloud.com iPhone, iPod Touch and iPhone, now is your Mac posblie Although I find I was not so lucky, do not know why but I could not locate my Mac with this beta, but if I could locate my iPhone (which incidentally was on the Mac side).
As you can see the changes related to Mobile Me are remarkable, the display now shows a map of "paper" on a wooden table and the windows look more actions have an IOS. The functions of sending messages, remotely lock and delete are now available for Mac icloud (beta yet).
Even if your Mac can not be found if pedes send messages, block or erase it. The message is simple, you write the message, send and an alert window appears on the Mac (obviously if you are on and have an Internet connection).
When you request to lock your Mac asks you a 6 digit code which you will be asked to confirm and a message is displayed on the mac blocked.
No matter if your mac is off, the next time you connect to internet mac crash. In my test was on the mac so I reboot and I present a lock screen with the message.
If you retrieve your Mac, you write the code, mac restarts and returns to normal. Technical details will have to wait and see how tough that the lock to a complete restoration of OSX or any other skill.
The remote wipe for obvious reasons not tried it, but also requested a 6-digit code, I guess your personal folder removes and blocks the mac.
I hope nobody ever has to use this tool but it is good to know that we have to go that extra mile when it is available so do not forget to activate it.
