Since the launch of Apple's iPhone, many manufacturers are including HP, RIM, Motorola and Samsung have launched its tablet to compete with the dominance of the iPad. Supported mainly by the Google operating system, Android, have managed to scrape a significant market share but they still pose a clear threat to Apple tablet. Recent news appear to predict a stable future competitors iPad:
- Sprint has canceled plans to launch WiMax Playbook BlackBerry due to lack of interest from enterprise customers.
- Rumor has it that Best Buy has sold only 25,000 of the 270,000 units of HP TouchPad has in stock.
- The Xoom Motorola LTE has been delayed until fall.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Samsung continues its journey in Europe after override the veto because the demand for Apple and is positioning itself as the true rival of iPhone.
