Since I know the benefits of AirPlay, I recognize that Apple streaming protocol is a really good option for streaming music and other multimedia content without losing quality along the way. Obviously, the downside of all this is that we need a home WiFi network for both devices, transmitter and receiver communicate.
According to the new information coming from the network, Apple could be working on making better AirPlay No dependent on a Wi-Fi connection so the role of the router becomes anecdotal.
Viewing this system, only need AirPlay compatible speakers and an iOS device capable of forming their own wireless network (something like tethering) to send multimedia content. If true this rumor, Apple is likely to announce on September 12 along with the new iPhone.
This derivative of AirPlay now known as AirPlay Direct but not a final name and Apple could change before launch.
