Evidence and suspicions I had last year that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York had given special treatment to Apple, the Cupertino company when it acquired a large space in the well-known Grand Station Terminal to open one of its larger establishments in the world.
Now a report published MTA accused of giving a slight advantage to Apple in the purchase of space in Grand Central over other companies. In addition, Apple pays "only" $ 1.1 million a year in rent and does not share a percentage of their profits with the public transport authority of the city, a deal that not all establishments are found in the same building.
The CEO of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and has responded to the accusations, claiming that the contract with Apple is completely transparent and saying the report is irrelevant.
