As reported by the web Patently Apple , this week the Patent and Trademark Office United States has registered a new Apple patent that could be directly related to the expected "iTV". It seems that everything points to that the rumors will be confirmed later this year, at which point he finally be known as Apple TV.
The bet Apple would incorporate the iPhone's voice assistant 4s, Siri (say goodbye to the remote control), could recognize our gestures and have large dimensions (starting at 42 inches, according to several analysts). But what about the content? Will it be a conventional television?
In the published patent shows the ability to play TV shows that have previously been recorded on a cable television or the ability to view premium content. This idea dates back to 2006 and was related directly to Apple TV. Should be noted that Steve Jobs is listed as author of the patent.
This feature has never implemented in the Apple TV today, but could well apply to the "iTV" in which Apple works with great secrecy.
