Most of us happened to iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak, either in iPhone 4 (3G, etc..) 4S or iPhone, that some icons are blank in my case is that of Cydia, also appear other diagnostic white icons.
Most are fixed by a respring, but sometimes not even then. If you want to solve this you have a much easier option: iWipe free download from Cydia and run Cache.
iWipe Cache is designed to clear the cache when you install Winterboard topics and serves perfectly for what we need, whether you have Winterboard installed.
