Tim Cook responds to allegations about his disregard for Foxconn employees

trabajo apple Tim Cook responde a las acusaciones sobre su despreocupación por los empleados de Foxconn

This week, half New York Times back to reflect in its publication the appalling working conditions in which employees work Foxconn in China, factory charged with assembling Apple products. New York Times interviewed a former employee of the factory highlighted the lack of interest from Apple in improving the conditions of those working in the manufacturing of its devices:

"A Apple has never cared anything but increase the quality of their products and reduce the cost of production. The welfare of its employees has never been of interest. "

The publication added that things continue to operate because Apple is so pleased with the results that Foxconn provides.

For the first time, Apple CEO Tim Cook, has tried to dispel the nonchalance of Apple for the exploitation of employees in Foxconn, arguing that "the company cares about each and every one of the people working in the products of Apple ". For this reason, Tim Cook recalled that every year, carrying out audits in the factories of its suppliers to see whether or not it met the requirements imposed by Apple (health, safety, no environmental pollution, etc.):

"Every year we get even deeper into the assembly of our suppliers and we have achieved great progress (...) Apple is making an effort in which no other company invests."

If still non-Apple tax requirements, we ask whether the company would actually remove that provider from your list. So far this has not happened.
