ECS makes the iPhone into a makeshift iPad

ECS convierte al iPhone en un iPad improvisado

Sure many of you already know the Asus PadFone, a smartphone that is inserted inside a 10-inch tablet form a hybrid device. Building on this concept, the company ECS has developed a prototype dock where we can enter our iPhone (and soon to Android and Windows Phone) to feed the 9.7-inch capacitive screen.

Although the idea is good but not see it in action, and we saw a problem. The ratio of the 9.7-inch screen is 4:3 (similar to the IPAD) while the ratio of the iPhone screen is 3:2 and it is likely that applications appear distorted or with a nice black bars to prevent distortion.

Instead, it is noteworthy that this dock-tablet has two USB ports, a slot for SD cards and a HDMI output. The price will be about $ 200 and will surely be the perfect alternative for those who have an iPhone and do not want to buy the iPad 2.

We'll have to wait to see in action this draft ECS that look good.
