We have learned through 9to5mac iOS 5 beta 2 allows you to enter Recovery Mode wirelessly using Recboot.
Despite what they say on some blogs in principle not going to be used to wirelessly jailbreak our iPhones, because we need to jailbreak into DFU mode which is not the same as recovery mode.
But who knows, maybe when iOS 5 is available in the next autumn to discover some method to get into DFU mode as well.
