This is a rumor that has spent years buried but now resurgent with the possibility that we see come true this year. That's because Apple seems to be working on a new device: a TV with the integrated IOS. One of the clues led to a resurgence of rumor business with Samsung, which could be the maker of the screens.
The source of the news is an Apple executive who has expressed the desire of his company to enter this new market by offering an integrated TV with iTunes. So, Apple aims to wipe out competitors that offer streaming video as Netflix.
The Apple TV could be launched in autumn this year or early 2012 at the latest.
