After the fine of 900,000 euros that Italy beat Apple in the country, eleven other European consumer groups join the attack against Apple for "bad business practices that harm consumers." The culprit: Apple Care. Apple offers its European customers this program to extend the warranty of their products to a maximum of two years. But what many consumers do not realize is that their devices are covered for two years by law.
Consumer organizations from eleven European countries, which include Italy and Germany, have sent a letter to the regulatory authorities to put pressure on Apple in order to specify the terms and conditions of Apple Care and tell its customers about European laws.
Next Wednesday, day 21, Apple's legal team will defend its action before an Italian court to avoid paying the 900,000 euro fine.
