Pod2g just said on twitter that do not know when there will be an untethered jailbreak for iPhone OS 5.1, you spend several hours a week to it and have some piece of userland jailbreak (untethered and software), but also lack other, and also would have to unite and work weeks, so we should not expect it soon.
You may ask for jailbreaks showing the day of the launch of third generation iPhone, right? These jailbreaks use Apple's code and developer privileges, and would be illegal (and crime) to make them public.
In the words of pod2g could miss several weeks to see an untethered jailbreak for iPhone OS 5.1, hopefully not so and give us a surprise before.
