OpenBackup Tutorial: store it in icloud Cydia installed or iTunes



We knew that icloud keeps your settings or preferences of various tweaks in Cydia , but had no effect after a restore if we returned to jailbreak and then re-install the packages one by one, so that we may olvidásemos some tweak or adjustment between restorations.

OpenBackup stores information in Cydia installed packages and stores them in icloud or iTunes, so you save time and we decided to try it.

Opening OpenBackup see 3 buttons; the instructions, backup and restore.

  • Directions: It tells us how it will be the process, can stretch for several minutes, indicating the backup path if we want to save on your computer.
  • Backup: Make the backup process.
  • Restore: Restore your data.
The program is responsible for making a list of everything installed by Cydia for later restore the device, after you jailbreak and install OpenBackup, and as we already have settings stored in the backup, with this device as we were to start the post. Start the tutorial.
  • If we have already pressed the "Backup", proceed to save the backup of the entire device in icloud or iTunes.
- Icloud: Settings> icloud> Storage and Copies> Backup
- ITunes: Right click on the connected device> Backup
  • Once the previous step, we restore the device from iTunes.

  • Back in IOS, configure the device: Language, region, location, Wifi *, and activate the phone.
* If we follow this post and activate the device with iTunes, free Wifi, we save the key to put the wifi. (Only free iPhones or legal contract)

  • Open Cydia, and install again OpenBackup and open it.
  • Click on Restore, when finished we reboot the device and VoilĂ !
