Apple reinvents the textbook: Conclusions

Without doubt, Apple has again surprised. Following the guidelines set by Steve Jobs, the company is ahead of competitors by signing major agreements with the major publishing groups in America. No doubt that these agreements will expand on an international basis and, at some point, we say goodbye to paper and we welcome the digital short.

iBooks 2, with the integration of textbooks, is an idea that hundreds of authors imagined in the past and at last reaches the XXI century. Yes it is true that offers greater interactivity and entertainment in the integration of learning with 3D models, videos, photo galleries and notes, rather than paper format can not match. It is also true that the manuals will now cost much less.

But let's not forget one thing: for all this we need an iPad. The Apple is a big task ahead: to insert this new model in the classroom, something that will take time, since not only the teachers would need to adapt the lessons to digital, but parents should be willing to shell out the money it costs an iPad.
