According PatentlyApple, today has posted a new U.S. patent on a possible arrival of Thunderbolt technology, present in the latest MacBooks and iMacs, our devices with IOS.
We can not know if you finally become a reality or not, but at least we know Apple is studying and using prototypes using this technology.
For users would be a tremendous improvement in the speed of data transfer and recharge the battery (which already is great).
To make this possible Apple would have to redesign its 30-pin dock connector to be compatible with Thunderbolt. This redesign is consistent with other patent registered with Apple in 2009, where we see a new hybrid connector that would support this technology.
Time will tell, maybe we see in the next iPhone or maybe the next.
