According to a report from Juniper Research, the gaming market for tablet is destined to suffer an exponential growth. There is talk of more than three billion dollars in 2014, compared to 491 million today.
With the evolution of technology, the game world is intended to bring a new revolution. Advances in hardware and software in the world of tablets appear to favor a role of mobile devices than anyone expected.
For starters, the screens around 10 inches, as the iPad , provide a fairly good size to enjoy a game conditions, the kind that hook you with a rich history and attractive. Gone are the years when we could not have blockbusters in our smartphones, due to screen size.
Eye, simple and direct games are fine (so-called casual), but there is a whole legion of players who love the great titles of every genre and new franchises on your iPhone or other tablets.
So, what role will the new iPhone in this development? Apple seems to be improving with each release the power intended for games. Not surprisingly the new chip incorporates A5X quad-core GPU to move the most demanding graphics. It is still early to get performance, but in the coming months we will see spectacular scenes.
Perhaps the greatest scourge of video games on a tablet is control. The use of virtual buttons joystics and seems not a viable option for generations spent decades using traditional controls. However, nothing limits the emergence of wireless controllers to bring a console experience to your iPhone. In this sense, both Apple and peripheral manufacturers should make an effort for dissemination and marketing.
How do you expect the video game industry evolves in the coming years? Do you think the tablets have much to say at this point, or are fads that will fail to reach the gamers?
