For Obvious Reasons, Assuming That Often people are Google Gears Offline. To me this isn t the case. Gears happens to have three initial LocalServer APIs, Database, WorkerPool That can lend Themselves to work offline. However, Some people are Grokking That WorkerPool Database and events are very useful if your application events never goes offline.

Segue: I am really excited to Have Brad Neuberg of Dojo, Red, and other non-eye fame projects, working with me at Google. It is a real pleasure to see the group growing, with great new hires Such As Joe Gregorio, and others haven t made it That official yet

I Was Having a chat with Brad About Gears, and He Was Talking About how I saw it as a way to update the Web in place. I got it.

Lets use a corny analogy really breaks down That. We get to drive A Few browsers Makes of cars on the information highway. When we want new features, I we have to wait for a new model to come out, and recently it feels like Cuba. The top selling car is a 1950 Chevy s. As drivers are passionate about the That driving experience, the Gears team is give everyone a foundation Trying to replace the engine, Even as you drive ..
