Steve Jobs in person tried to avoid a patent war against South Korea's Samsung, but its competitor ignored requests for Jobs and he stepped forward to face a legal battle that has already been active for over two years in different countries around the world. The thing began blatant plagiarism of the iPhone and the iPad, something that Apple could not pass. From there, the dispute began to spread throughout the world and the companies included in their patent claims of different kinds.
During this war of patents, both companies have been blocked in the sales of their devices, Samsung being the hardest hit. At last the battle could end up as CEOs of both companies, Tim Cook (Apple) and Gee-Sung Choi (Samsung) have agreed to hold meetings in person, accompanied by their legal teams to reach an agreement to end litigation.
A judge in San Francisco will be the intermediary in the process to take place within weeks. Samsung seems to have finally realized that this was the right way.
