How often have we had to hear the absurd rumor that Apple could include a physical keyboard on the next generation of iPhones. It is something that is not going according to company policy, which revolutionized the market with a full touch screen. But it seems that Cupertino had not so clear this revolution in 2007, and that those responsible for the creation of the original iPhone came to believe in the possibility of producing an iPhone to include a physical keyboard.
This is what Tony Fadell unveiled this week in an interview with On The Verge . Fadell worked in the division of the iPod several years, serving as vice president of the iPod division at Apple. But he also was involved in the production of the iPhone that would be released in 2007.
According Fadell, three prototypes of iPhone: one called the iPod + iPhone, iPhone and another device called the iPhone finally launched that would captivate the attention of everyone.
Apple is a relief that never came to launch an iPhone with physical keyboard. Not have achieved the same success, no doubt, since the model would be more like the other smartphones on the market.
