With the new iPad succeeding in the market, Apple is now working at full capacity to update other mobile family of products: the iPhone and iPod Touch. Rumors of both products have not been long in coming.
Rumors about the New iPhone
It is assumed that at this time, some employees at Apple already have a prototype of the new iPhone, with the housing of the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S , to do some tests. Apparently the apple smartphone suffer cosmetic changes this year, but to do performance testing have preferred to leave the current issue, for now.
One of the most important tests is on the chip A5X amended, which was designed specifically for the Retina Display the new iPhone , so it would not make much sense to appear as such in the new iPhone.
Instead, it is considering the possibility of a chip with some variations on the famous architecture A5X S5L8945X. Would be accompanied by 1 GB of RAM and internally known as N96, but need not be called that in the final product.
Rumors about the new iPod Touch
The iPod Touch is selling pretty well, considering that was the only device with IOS did not see a new version last year, apart from the white model. However, it appears that Apple has future plans for him.
The news comes from 9to5Mac, a blog specializing in rumors. According to a file within the bowels of iPhone OS 5.1, the Cupertino company is working on a new iPod, with no known specifications. It may be decided by a more powerful chip like A5 or A5X, to further enhance inter alia the use of the iPod Touch as handheld game console.
It is not easy to know if the fifth generation iPod Touch will last but if so, it would make sense to launch it later this year to seize on Christmas.
