Apple is in the crosshairs of Greenpeace. The Cupertino company is noted for its continued efforts to move their processes to renewable energy. That's one of the objectives of the company, but according to a new report by Greenpeace, Apple is not doing well. This time, the cloud of Apple, icloud is causing controversy.
The Greenpeace report released this week, entitled "How clean is your cloud?" The organization notes that as icloud platforms and the like of IBM, Microsoft and Amazon, do not respect the environment. The maintenance of servers icloud pollute the environment through the coal needed to supply energy to these huge buildings that house millions of servers.
In this discussion paper are adopted from companies like Facebook, HP, Google and Dell. However, Apple is left between the approved scaling and suspense in all areas analyzed: transparency, infrastructure, energy efficiency and renewable energy use.
