Google Postpone Launch of Tablet: Too Expensive

According to recent rumors, the debut of Google in the world of tablets will be delayed for a few months. Sources close to the project say that the big G has accepted that it can not compete with the new iPhone from Apple, but will try to find a place next to the Amazon Kindle Fire.

Recently we have been talking about a possible iPhone mini, less than 8 inches. Well, it appears that Google will focus on this segment and has spent months working with Asus in a 7-inch tablet. At first they wanted to present in May, but the $ 250 they should ask for it seems too.

This prevents them from competing on price with the Amazon Kindle Fire, which is around $ 200. So Google has decided to wait a few months to reduce costs and improve the design, with the idea of launching a tablet much more competitive.

At present, the prototype of Google is 7 inches, has version 4.0 of Android (Icecream Sandwich), a Nvidia Tegra 3 and WiFi connectivity. The idea is to lower the price below $ 200 but maintaining these features.

It appears that the segment of the tablets around 7 inches will be very busy in the coming months. Possible iPad tablet mini and Google, do you think we'll see you someday?
