WhatsApp is a very well received by users of smartphones, but how could it be otherwise seen as a real threat to telephone companies, which have seen their messaging revenues have been depleted. So no wonder the initiative that have had companies to create your own application, called Joyn and that Apple has rejected installed as default on iPhones.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, the application WhatsApp and similar carriers will lose some 17.534 million euros for this year and rise further in coming years. Application developers are defended as WhatsApp claiming that at least their tools drive users to employ data plans for internet connection, something that operators should take as positive.
In 2012, it is expected that telephone companies lose EUR 7,000 million more than last year.
