Apple and Foxconn you fulfill your word? Sum of Us ensures that no

sum of us ¿Cumplirán Apple y Foxconn su palabra? Sum of Us asegura que no

The Fair Labor Association last week published a paper where they suggest the many problems of workers in plants that manufacture the devices from Apple. The published document has caused a stir, because it has confirmed the operation of hundreds of thousands of workers.

Apple and Foxconn are committed to resolving these problems adjusting to Chinese laws. But both companies fulfill his word? Organizations such as Sum of Us are saying no. These are the reasons.

First, the organization Sum of Us out in an email that Apple has taken a period of fifteen months to fix the situation. "We are tired of investigations, it is time for Apple to act," insisted from the organization. Sum of Us believed that this "adjustment time" is a ploy by Apple to forget the situation at Foxconn and other factories and not really do anything about it.

Second, Apple has already done this type of research in the past. In 2006 prepared a report which drew conclusions similar to those described by the Fair Labor Association and in the last six years has not done anything to change things. "The people and the media lost interest at that time and we have to prevent this from happening again."

So Sum of Us will undertake various protest activities against Apple, among which include advertising campaigns. This could hurt Apple's image, so Sum of Us exercised great pressure.
