Apple develops its own native application for scanning documents

patente Apple desarrolla su propia aplicación nativa para el escaneado de documentos

According to the image of this patent underscores the web as 9to5Mac , Apple is creating its own native application to scan documents using the iPhone and higher resolution cameras than current ones. There in the AppStore other third party applications that fulfill these functions perfectly, but Apple wants to offer their own choice.

The operation would be simple:

  1. Application opens and the user sets the paper in front of the iPhone's camera. The application will identify and trim the edges and keep the paper format used in the original document.
  2. The application separates the images of the text.
  3. The application recognizes the type of characters used.
  4. The resulting file is saved as a PDF document or contact pages (if we scan a business card, for example).

At the moment it is an idea from Apple, but do not know whether this patent will be translated into reality.
