Apple replacing a graphics chip from Samsung on the other LG in iPad 2 latest. The litigation against the Korean automaker could be the reason for the change.
A new graphics chip SW0627B labeled and manufactured by LG has appeared in the latest iPhone 2, replacing manufactured by Samsung and included in the first iPad 2. The exchange of accusations and demands for patents definitely seems to have undermined the relations between Samsung and Apple. The graphic chip, called the Wise View, seems to be manufactured by LG and recently joined in the last iPad 2 have left the factory. It is also speculated that this change could mean the first step to provide the iPad 2 a screen with higher resolution.
Samsung and Apple, formerly allies and partners, seem to live a slow divorce will affect the hardware of all devices in the company. Hopefully a possible transition of components do not affect our beloved iPhone .
