Developments continue to appear in IOS 5 and it seems that Apple has added a new API that allows developers to locate faces in a photograph. It is rumored that this new functionality can be a direct consequence following the acquisition of Polar Rose by Apple.
These new APIs will make work easier for developers who want to implement facial recognition into their applications and who knows if Apple implements this new feature in IOS for use in applications such as PhotoBooth.
