IFixit again shows us inside the Smart Cover, this time to see why it works so well this accessory.
The latest "study" reveals a total of 31 magnets in action when we join the iPad 2 with Smart Cover, 10 in the first and 21 in the protector.
The iPad 2 we have several magnets especially on the sides. In the Smart Cover will see 15 on the right and are used to attach a steel plate in the left panel to stabilize the foot. The round sensor that can be seen in the image is responsible for off and on the iPad.
